Holos Communities Hosts Theory of Change Film Series Screening

Holos Communities convened a diverse and talented group of housing specialists, corporate partners, entertainment and media professionals, community members, and more to discuss for the theater debut and discussion of the Theory of Change series at the Alamo Drafthouse LA on August 3rd.

As part of our transition from Clifford Beers Housing to Holos Communities, our Theory of Change series outlines our renewed focus on addressing challenges that intersect with housing - ending homelessness, fighting global warming, and addressing racial inequity. The series launched on April 1, 2023 on YouTube and our social channels. This was the first time our Theory of Change series appeared on a theater screen!

After the showing, Holos Communities Executive Director and CEO Cristian Ahumada and series director Eb George held a panel discussion to explore the themes of the series, as well as talk about their experiences in the housing field and potential long-term approaches to addressing interconnected challenges. Speakers included:

  • John Maceri: CEO, The People Concern

  • Roxy Rivas: Program Manager, Pacoima Beautiful

  • Tom De Simone, President & CEO. GenesisLA

The night ended with a reception, where attendees had the opportunity to discuss the film, talk about solutions and meet the speakers and participants of the film series. The event was a great place to bring together and grow the housing community, and encourage attendees to become strong advocates for housing.
