Leandro Tyberg
Board Member
Mr. Tyberg is President and Co-Founder of Primestor Development. His primary responsibilities include oversight of company culture, operations, corporate management, enhancing the well-being of the team, and ensuring our company values are infused into every service our company provides.
Driven by a need to revitalize urban areas, Primestor was founded as a response to the Los Angeles Civil Unrest of 1992, in order to develop community projects in areas often overlooked by other developers and investors.
Primestor develops, acquires, manages, leases and invests in groundbreaking urban projects in cities throughout the country, focusing primarily on Southern California. In partnership with community stakeholders, non-profits, community partners, local area residents, municipalities and institutional investors, Primestor’s projects become regional and local gathering spaces for the neighborhoods we serve.
Primestor currently operates a portfolio valued at over $1.2 billion, with over 3.5 million square feet of leasable area in California, Nevada, and Arizona, as well as a current development pipeline of over $1.5 billion. Primestor also manages a discretionary SEC registered Social Impact Equity Fund of over $200 million dedicated to investing in underserved, undersupplied, and underrepresented communities.
Mr. Tyberg currently serves as Chair of the Building & Planning Cte. for Stephen S. Wise Temple, Board Chair and co-founder of Diversity Builders Alliance, Advisory Board member of ULI-LA, Board Member for The Los Angeles Neighborhood Land Trust, and has served on numerous other Boards and not-for-profit groups throughout his career. Mr. Tyberg is happily married with two sometimes wonderful children.
