Holos Communities opened its doors in 2016, when the organization acquired a former veterinarian’s office and transformed it into a workspace for staff. The office was designed to showcase innovations we’ve implemented—or plan to implement—across our properties. For example, a solar panel and battery system now provides 76% of the office’s electricity needs, making the building 87% self-sufficient.

The office also functions as a testing ground for future sustainability concepts. Current initiatives include an atmospheric water generator that produces potable water for daily use, along with water conservation features to reduce overall consumption.

Located just 1.6 miles from the North Hollywood Red Line station and served by the 152 and 224 bus lines, the office is easily accessible by public transit. Several restaurants are also within walking distance.

Looking ahead, planned improvements include dedicated bicycle infrastructure and additional charging ports for electric vehicles.
