Holos Connects with Community Members

The Holos Communities team took part in a couple of experiences with the community last week to share insights about our work with students in North Hollywood, and connect with neighbors in Mid-City.

Our team met with students from the Sequoyah School at NoHo Senior Villas to learn more about the affordable housing field, and what the work that Holos Communities is doing to tackle challenges in housing, sustainability and equity in Southern California. Students learned about how NoHo Senior Villas supports tenants with varying needs, and asked questions about everything from sustainability tools and technology to the homelessness crisis at large.

The Sequoyah School is an independent K-12 school in Pasadena, California focused on providing a diverse, equitable, and inclusive educational environment for its students, supported by a progressive approach to learning. For more info, visit sequoyahschool.org.

Our Advancements team took time on Friday to connect with members of the Mid-City community at the “On Our Feet: Stories of the LA Housing Crisis” community fair! The team spoke about the necessary work needed to house people in an equitable way. The Holos team joined other presenters who spoke about housing protections and tenant rights in Los Angeles, and connected with local businesses in the Mid-City area.
