Corazón del Valle (CDV) is named for its location in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, CDV provides homes for 176 households across two phases. Half of the units are designated as permanent supportive housing, while the remainder are general affordable units. The community also includes a neighborhood clinic, operated by the San Fernando Community Health Center, which will serve both residents and the surrounding community.

CDV was designed to model healthy and environmentally friendly practices, featuring extensive landscaping irrigated by a greywater recycling system and solar panels to reduce energy use. The community is surrounded by local schools—including Panorama High School, Michelle Obama Elementary School, and Cal Burke Continuation High School—all within a two-block radius. Multiple grocery stores and at least three pharmacies are located within a 15-minute walk.

Transit access is a defining feature of CDV. Van Nuys Boulevard provides connections to at least four Metro bus lines less than 500 feet from the site, with three additional lines a half-mile away linking to Amtrak and Metrolink service. Looking ahead, Metro has greenlit a new rail line in the San Fernando Valley, which will begin at the Van Nuys Transit Center and run north along Van Nuys Boulevard—passing directly by the community.
