Steps on St. Andrews Grand Opening
Holos Communities is excited to announce the grand opening of the Steps on St. Andrews, a new supportive housing development in the heart of Angelus Vista. The project delivers 20 apartments for veterans and others exiting homelessness while preserving and adapting a historic Craftsman home at the front of the site. Joining Holos to celebrate this achievement were Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, CD10’s Homeless Liaison Specialist Roger Estrada, HACLA Chief Program Officer Margarita Lares, HCD Director Gustavo Velasquez, NEF Managing Director of Supportive Housing Debbie Burkart and Banner Bank’s Vice President of Affordable Housing, Katie Fisher.
Located among the historic homes of Angelus Vista, the Steps on St. Andrews (Steps) transforms an existing Craftsman house into eight apartments and adds a new three-story wing, creating a total of 20 apartments. A community room and landscaped roof deck connect the restored front building to the new rear wing, while the original front porch and yard maintain the neighborhood’s historic streetscape.
